Back to Squidoo
I really need to use Squidoo more often. Their tools are easy to use and they don’t care if I use out-bound links. Here’s my lens portfolio so far:
I could have sworn I had done more of these things…

My significant other has a website showcasing all of his outdoors knowledge and skill:
Go check out Mike Outdoors !
While I love working on my own stuff, I thought it was time to try and pick up a new income stream from another source. I found the Examiner.com and am their new Toronto Travel writer. Not sure how much this new gig will pay, but I’m always up for something new. Here are my latest articles there:
Really makes me wish I had done a better job saving my work back when I was writing about Toronto for About.com. I had loads of material and I didn’t save any of it. That sucks.
Yes, I know I have pledged to stop registering domains and starting sites, but this is more for my own enjoyment than as a potential “money-maker”. A new blogger blog to talk about my trials and tribulations around the farm.
I’m trying to keep up with my photo taking to make it visual, particularly with before/after shots of my projects. I figure it can also serve as a log or diary of my activities so I can check back to see what I’ve been doing.
I have launched myself into the creation of lenses at Squidoo. It’s a pretty easy process, a lot like writing for Hubpages (at least in terms of the tools). Not really sure why they call them “lenses”, but who am I to argue.
My first lens: How to Cast a Spell. More to come.
Wow, already here is my second one: Traditional Cuban Recipes
As I start working to promote my new Cuba Travel site, I’ve published a few articles on the subject:
That’s all for the moment. I wish I was in Cuba now…. Canada is just too cold.
My lack of posting doesn’t not reflect on a lack of work. I have been doing mainly ghostwriting and offline work, leaving me with few articles to brag about here.
I have done some thinking, and have recently decided that I want to focus on my writing rather than web site creation and will be closing a few of my sites. Ironically, the first to go is my Become an Online Writer blog. I like to write, but I guess I don’t really have the motivation to write about writing. I’m moving my articles to HubPages instead.
Not sure where I am heading next, but I will continue to add links when I have new material of my own to boast about.
Yep, I’m working on Christmas day. What a surprise. I really should get off the computer and start a fire. I’m freezing in here. New stuff:
Honestly, though I have not posted recently, I have been very busy doing work stuff. Yes, I have been working.
I’ve relaunched Covenspace on a new server with new software. So far so good, still many thousands of people to move though. I guess that has been my biggest project. I’ve also rebuilt the Steaming Cup with a new platform for easier updating.
A few new pieces up at Learn Genealogy:
I’m shocked that I’ve not posted new work sooner. I’ve been doing several offline projects, and moving. So I have an excuse. I’ve been doing more website creation than article writing lately too.
Oh, and I am now one of the blog writers at Dot-Mom.com
